can anybody tell me who elected the members who deal with the funds recieved from the wind farm,i understand its to benefit the villages involved, but i only see it going to certain projects.wouldnt it be better if the village got cheaper energy bills, that way the whole community would benefit and not just certain people, they have similar schemes in england where the village gets cheap energy,i know i would prefer that,as im in no way benefiting from the bounty the village recieves every year from the wind farms,i also would like to know where i can view the accounts.scott galloway
I believe there were 4 elected members from the community. The 2 further members came from the existing Community Council. I will forward your email to Diana who may be able to clarify further. You are certainly welcome to put forward your idea.

thanks for replying marcus,i think if the villages involved used the funds to lower the energy bills, more new familys would move to the villages ,bringing in fresh blood to the community,i personaly would prefer lower energy bills and i think if the elected council did a pole, they would find ,most people agree with me.scott galloway
since my last comment on june 7th 2013,ive still had no reply to my request to view the accounts ,its now been over two months,i must say im not impressed that my comments have been ignored.i hope all involved keep prospering from the wind farm funds.scott galloway
Scott, the funds awarded to various groups are published on this website, in the community newsletter and are available from the funding bodies websites (some links above). Any community group can apply for funding, it is open to all.
