Many of you will now be familiar with Sound Out, promoting music and the arts in Stow and the surrounding area. Enormous headway has been made this year as a result of an award of funding by Foundation Scotland from the EDF Longpark Community Fund to help develop and grow the second Stowed Out music and arts festival on the 16th & 17th August.
*UPDATE 01/07/2013* The line up has been finalised… its going to be bigger and better than last year. On Friday night there will be a special pre festival concert in the marquee with the amazing Karine Polwart. Tickets are selling fast so head over to www.soundout.org.uk for tickets and to see the full line up for Saturday.
Feedback from the community in the recent questionnaire has been key to the festivals development. 100% of forms returned expressed the opinion that the festival, was good for the community. Answers clearly demonstrated a desire for this event to be repeated and expanded in future years. With a regular summer festival at the heart of its activities, Sound Out could become a real source of revenue for local businesses, bringing visitors to the area and highlighting Stow as a cultural centre.
