Stow Parish Archive is now in possession of three beautiful facsimile volumes of Victorian cuttings books. We have commissioned local furniture maker Rob Thomson to create a display unit that will allow members of the public to look at the books whilst keeping them secure.
The Windfarm Community Benefit fund that made this work possible is also financing the updating of our catalogue. Lucy Stock is undertaking this work and is well qualified for the job as she is a trainee archivist and was brought up in Stow. Lucy has catalogued over 500 items to date. We are fortunate that people are generous enough to share their skills and expertise on a voluntary basis and William Finlayson has been assisting Lucy by fine tuning the electronic catalogue to our requirements.
