Day Itinerary
10.45am: You’ll be picked up from the Galashiels Transport Interchange railway station and taken to your first
stop, the beautiful Bowhill House & Country Estate. The House is specially open for the occasion where you can
take part in a guided tour, viewing masterpieces by Canaletto, Gainsborough and Reynolds and the Smoking
Room, on display to the public for the first time in 2016. Alternatively, enjoy the space and tranquility on one of
the Estate’s waymarked walking trails or sit back and relax with tea and cake in the Tearoom.
1.00pm: The bus takes you into Selkirk town centre where you can enjoy lunch or coffee in one of the local
cafés. There’s also Halliwell’s House Museum or Sir Walter Scott’s Courtroom.
2:00pm: The final stop for the tour is Lochcarron of Scotland’s Visitor Centre, the world’s leading manufacturer
of tartan.
4.00pm: The bus will return to Galashiels Transport Interchange for 4.00pm.
