At a recent public meeting, Fountainhall community discussed making a resilience plan. This is where the community can pull together in bad times; for example , in situations with bad snow, power cuts, flooding, bad accidents, a missing person etc.
We have had an excellent response. Our plan is being completed and will be up and running soon.
This is something that the Community Council would like Stow to take forward. Jim Fraser, Emergency Planning Officer for Scottish Borders Council, is going to come along to Stow to explain exactly how the resilience plan will work and let everyone decide if this is something Stow wants to adopt. Please come along on Thursday 27th September at 7.30pm to Stow Town Hall.
