After months of planning Sound Outs first Stowed Out Festival brought the whole community together for a great day of live music. The figures speak for themselves.
8hrs of music, 41 Musicians, 2 Story tellers, 8 Craft stalls, 9 Committee Members , 35 Volunteers. 5 marquees, 500 Members of the public over the 8hours and no rain!
There was an eclectic mix of music from Fiddle Tunes to 15 year old Zoe Bestel a ukulele playing singer songwriter to the rocking sound of headliners Torino. It was also great to see so many local musicians getting involved.
Everyone from pensioners to toddlers turned up to enjoy the show which gave it a really great feel.Sound Out will do this again next year but bigger and better and are keen to get any feedback or suggestions and if anyone would like to got involved Sound Out would love to have you onboard ……
Sound Out’s AGM will be held sometime in October. Watch for posters with more details. If anyone would like to help shape the way the Community Music Group grows come along and have your say. The next event is on 17th November when Sound Out and Allan Marr will be holding a “Stars in Their Eyes” Karaoke night to raise cash for Children in Need.
