Stow Primary School is a small school serving the village of Stow and the surrounding area. In the summer of 2000, the new building at the new site was completed and was officially opened by HRH Princess Anne. The new school provides a considerably enhanced environment for learning and teaching. The unit comprises four classrooms, a general purpose room, a large hall, a library, a nursery, a dining room/ multi purpose area and kitchen, a school office and head teacher’s office, together with various storage areas.
The school roll during session 2007/2008 has been in the high 70s and is divided into four classes: P1/ 2, P3/4, P4/5, P6/7. The Head Teacher is non-class committed and shares the role of Head Teacher at Fountainhall Primary School. The school also benefits from having a Principal Teacher. At present, the purpose built nursery operates for pre-school and ante-pre-school children.
